Brent Steven Celek (born January 25, 1985) is an American football tight end for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League.
He played high school football at La Salle High School in Cincinnati and college football for the Cincinnati Bearcats. One of Celek's most memorable moments from his college career was an 83 yard touchdown catch-and-run against Rutgers in 2006, where Celek broke multiple tackles and dragged defenders into the end zone.
Brent Celek is a testament to the saying that if you believe in yourself and combine that with hard work, you can achieve anything. These redeeming qualities seem to bode well for Celek's future in the NFL.
He caught 2 touchdowns during the 2009 NFC Championship Game vs the Arizona Cardinals. Often considered a very durable receiving threat, Celek cemented his status as an effective receiving tight end in 2009.
With LJ Smith departing the Eagles, Celek may get a chance to start for the 2009 season.
