Bruce Kumar Frantzis (born March, 1949, New York City) is an American Martial Artist and writer of books on the Three Internal Chinese Martial Arts (Baguazhang, Xing Yi Chuan, Tai Chi Chuan), meditation, and healing therapies.

Frantzis practiced Japanese and Chinese martial arts as well as yoga and meditation in his youth. When he was 18 he moved to Japan for several years [1] to study and learn more about Japanese martial arts. Later he spent more than ten years in China. Frantzis also practiced yoga for a few years in India.[2] In China he studied Baguazhang, Xing Yi Chuan, Wu Style Tai Chi Chuan and Taoist healing traditions under Liu Hung Chieh who was the youngest tai chi student of Wu Chien-ch'uan, founder of the Wu Style of Tai Chi Chuan; Liu died December 1, 1986,[2] 81 years old.[3]
