[edit] Code of ethical practice in market research

ESOMAR has established code or 'codes of ethical practice' and professional standards for its members. Market research companies who are members of this organization are supposed to adhere to these standards and codes of ethical practice while conducting telephone, face-to-face or online surveys.

ESOMAR has developed the International Standard (ISO 20252) norm for market, opinion and social research for market research. [1] ESOMAR's Code of Ethical Practice has been adopted by more than 100 national market research associations.
