Polski: Uwaga! Wbrew nazwie pliku, ten obrazek nie przedstawia flagi Rzeczypospolitej Obojga Narodów. Pojęcie flagi narodowej wówczas nie istniało. Przedstawia o natomiast, w ujęciu schematycznym, chorągiew królewską króla Zygmunta III Wazy. Zawiera ona elementy heraldyczne herbów Polski, Litwy, Szwecji oraz dynastii Wazów. Wspólnie tworzą one symbol konkretnego władcy, a nie całości bytu politycznego, jakim była Rzeczpospolita. Obrazek ten nie powinien byc używany w artykułach Wikipedii, infoboxach itp. jako "flaga Rzeczypospolitej Obojga Narodów", gdyż takie użycie byłoby błędne.

English: Caution! Contrary to what the file name suggests, this image does not represent the flag of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. A notion of a national flag did not exist at that time. It is a schematic image of the royal banner of King Sigismund III Vasa. It contains heraldic elements of the coats of arms of Poland, Lithuania, Sweden and the House of Vasa. Together, they constitute a symbol of a specific ruler, not an entire political entity which the Commonwealth was. This image should not be used in Wikipedia articles, infoboxes etc. as a "flag of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth" because such usage would be incorrect. English: Royal banner (not a flag) of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth during the reign of the House of Vasa (1587-1668).

Flag with three horizontal stripes of red, white and red.
Coat of arms:1-4 Polish eagle (Piastowie's), 2-3 Lithuanian knight (Jagiellonczyk's), 5-8 Swedish three-crowns (Magnus IV's), 6-7 Swedish lion (Magnus I's), inescutcheon: 9 Vasa's garb.
Crown:Royal crown.
Order:Golden fleece
