[edit] Life and career

Marissa is the daughter of Anthony Mazzola, whom she has not spoken to for over 20 years. McMahon was born in New York City, and grew up in Greenwich, Connecticut where she lived across the street from her future husband Shane McMahon. She attended Greenwich Academy, a private all-girls school, Gettysburg College, and then Boston University. Marissa started her career in public relations working for Dan Klores.

[edit] World Wrestling Federation / Entertainment

Marissa started her World Wrestling Federation career in 1999 as the co-host of WWF LiveWire, along with Michael Cole and Jonathan Coachman, until 2000. Behind the scenes, she played an influential role in expanding the WWF's media exposure through public relations. Marissa was the Director of Public Relations for WWF Inc., working directly with some of the federation's biggest "superstars" such as Steve Austin and The Rock. She once appeared briefly on The Howard Stern Show with Austin and was described as "the girl next door".

Unlike all other living adult members of the McMahon family, Marissa has never made a live in-ring appearance for any WWE show during her career with WWE. However, Marissa did appear at the 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009 WWE Hall of Fame ceremonies.

[edit] Film production

After her short stint co-hosting LiveWire, Mazzola appeared in a brief role in the WWF co-produced film The Scorpion King as the bird merchant.[1]

In 2005, Marissa founded a motion picture production company called Kamala Films. She is the producer of the 2008 film Anamorph starring Willem Dafoe and Scott Speedman.

[edit] Personal life

On September 14, 1996, Marissa married Shane McMahon in a private ceremony on the McMahon's estate. Currently, they reside in New York City. Together they have two sons, Declan James, born February 13, 2004,[1] and Kenyon Jess, born March 22, 2006. Marissa also has two brothers.

Marissa is the daughter-in-law of World Wrestling Entertainment owner Vince McMahon and WWE CEO Linda McMahon. She is also the sister-in-law of Stephanie McMahon and WWE wrestler Paul "Triple H" Levesque and was a bridesmaid in their October 25, 2003 wedding in Sleepy Hollow, New York.
