A game is a structured or semi-structured activity, usually undertaken for enjoyment and sometimes also used as an educational tool. Games are generally distinct from work, which is usually carried out for remuneration or as a personal, unpaid responsibility one feels to some other person or group, and from art, which is more concerned with the expression of ideas. However, the distinction is not clear-cut, and many games are also considered to be work.
Key components of games are goals, rules, challenge, and interactivity. Games generally involve mental or physical stimulation, and often both. Many games help develop practical skills, serve as a form of exercise, or otherwise perform an educational, social, simulational or psychological role. Hide and seek (sometimes also called hide and go seek) is a variant of the game tag, in which one or more players search for the other players. Numerous variants of the game occur worldwide. The game starts with all players in a central location. One player is given the designation of "it". There are two portions to the game: the hiding - all the players, except "it", locate a place in which to hide, and the seeking - "it" attempts to locate at least one of the players. The overall objective is to not be discovered by "it".
