[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Mort Goldman.png

Image:Mort Goldman.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Comment on religion

I removed the following comment about the Goldmans' religion:

"(which has been mentioned several times and which is further proven when he asks Lois if he can borrow a cross without "the little fellow" on it)"

This line of dialogue was referring to the Griffins being Catholic, and worshipping a cross depicting Christ crucified. Protestants use a plain cross as a symbol of Christ, the absence of Christ himself representing his resurrection.

Support This article is completely non-notable. I support merging this into Family Guy charactersStrummingbabe (talk) 08:23, 16 January 2009 (UTC)

Against Mort, as a character, is more notable than other characters of rarer appearances and recently has become more akin to being a member of Peter's 'gang', Joe, Cleveland and Quagmire. Qu1rk3y (talk) 02:06, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

Oppose Mort is a protagonist of Family Guy. --FixmanPraise me 19:52, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

Support Mort is a minor character who does not appear as regularly as the 'primary' characters. DP76764 (Talk) 19:55, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

Support Non-notable. Article is chiefly an uncited character analysis which is all WP:OR. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 22:40, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

  • Support - are there independent reliable sources that are substantively about this character? It doesn't appear so, so merge it to the character list. Otto4711 (talk) 00:11, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
