[edit] Indian nations and indigenous peoples
Someone recently added Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. I reverted it but it got added back.
Should former monarchies of indigenous peoples which were only recognized by their occupying powers and governments of nearby lands be included in this list, even if there is a related article? If so, this template could get very large very quickly, as there are literally hundreds if not thousands of former and for that matter current tribal monarchies which were generally recognized only by those countries that needed to deal with them due to proximity or due to being an occupying power. Not every indigenous people had the status of the Kingdom of Hawaii. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 19:11, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
- Nevermind, it's been taken out again. The article itself is on the proposed deletion list. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 02:19, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
