I first started editing Wikipedia in July 2007, and became a sysop in January 2008. Being a sysop means that I can do a few extra things that other editors cannot do: e.g. block and unblock users, protect and unprotect pages, delete pages, and edit fully protected pages, among others. I was elected as a Coordinator of the Military History WikiProject in September 2008 and re-elected in March 2009. The project coordinators are generally responsible for maintaining all of the procedural and administrative aspects of the project, and serve as the designated points-of-contact for procedural issues. I am also involved with a few other WikiProjects that relate to my interests to varying extents, although I spend most of my time at MILHIST and WikiProject Ships.

Significant Contributions

• I'm not a big article writer, but I have improved some and have a few articles that I make the effort to maintain and I have a few articles I'd like to expand at some point in the future. My strengths lie in my ability to do the little fixes that a WikiGnome is capable of; those things that may be monotonous to some are enjoyable to me.
• / Nominated USS Texas (BB-35) for Good Article status and A-Class with the author TomStar81.
• Article development on USS Illinois (BB-65) from Stub to A-class, but did not pass FAC, was revamped twice by TomStar81 and is now a Featured Article.
• List of United States Military Academy alumni (Astronauts) - I must thank Rlevse for his invaluable assistance.
• Major expansion of List of R-7 launches from 18,700 bytes to 158,384 bytes before being split by decade. Possible Featured Lists and Topic?
• Compilation of all alumni for List of United States Naval Academy alumni (Astronauts) in collaboration with Rlevse.
• Creation of missing Timeline of spaceflight articles: 1987, 1988, 1989, and 1990
• In work (future): Iowa class battleship conversion proposals. Article written from scratch in support of a Featured Topic supplemental nomination.
