Below is a list of notable albums that may not be covered in Wikipedia. The notability of the album is defined by one or of the following criteria: critical acclaim, large album sales or recognition as one of the best in its genre. Many of the albums or artists already have existing articles about them but may need to be redirected. You may want to consider creating a redirect if the name is appropriate.
If you are creating a new album, please follow the guidelines at WikiProject Albums. If you don't have time to create an article with a full infobox please put
{{Album
|class=stub
|importance=
|attention=
|needs-infobox=yes
|auto=
}}
on the talk page to alert others that an infobox is needed.
If the album has an infobox (it does not need to be complete) only then remove it from the list.
For further instruction see the guidelines at the project page

[edit] Source of lists
The list was compiled, though does not necessarily include all items, from the following lists:
- List of Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time
- Acclaimedmusic.net top 2500 albums
- RIAA top 100 selling albums
- many smaller lists
| Initial | Remaining | Percent complete |

The counts are accurate as of 6 May 2009

[edit] Checked
- The Cream of Al Green — Al Green (The+Cream+Of+Al+Green allmusic | wp gwp g): Not much information on this at AMG. Is it really that notable? --Moonriddengirl 14:08, 14 October 2007 (UTC) It is a compilation album so hard to find info about it. Though it is ranked 45th on this list:NME Writers All time 100 albums (First published on 30th November 1985) [2]Calaka (talk) 08:39, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
- Probably really Hi Life - The Best of Al Green. HAve made a redirect though tot the Al Green discography for now. Rich Farmbrough, 20:07, 4 July 2009 (UTC).
- Actaully it proabably isn't. Don't know why I said that. Rich Farmbrough, 20:25, 4 July 2009 (UTC).
- Probably really Hi Life - The Best of Al Green. HAve made a redirect though tot the Al Green discography for now. Rich Farmbrough, 20:07, 4 July 2009 (UTC).
- (untitled) — Question Mark & the Mysterians (- allmusic | wp gwp g) (redirects to hyphen). (There is no (untitled) in the discography of Question Mark & the Mysterians at All Music. --Moonriddengirl 14:27, 19 September 2007 (UTC))
- Possibly this is the eponymous album from 1997.[3] 86.44.26.67 (talk) 03:50, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
- Possible since the album cover of that album seems to have no title anywhere apart from the band name (and a label that says Featuring 96 tears), so not literally called untitled but an untitled album.Calaka (talk) 08:39, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
- Big 16 — The Impressions (Big+16 allmusic | wp gwp g) — barely covered at AMG. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:34, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
- According to this website [4] the album was ranked 50th and 51st in the "NME Writers All time 100 albums (First published on 30th November 1985)" and "NME Writers all time top 100 - 1974" respectively. Having said that, almost 2 years later and no new info about them has cropped up. So the best bet might be just to write the fact that the album was on that list on their main page and just redirect the album. Unless someone can of course find their album details written somewhere not on the internet.Calaka (talk) 08:39, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
- Made redirect. Rich Farmbrough, 20:07, 4 July 2009 (UTC).
