The Uyghurs of Western China WikiProject

[edit] Scope

This WikiProject aims to coordinate and collect information on the Uyghur people and their culture; their historical life in the territory today known as Xinjiang, including the periods of the First and Second East Turkistan Republics; the current political situation in Xinjiang, including PRC policies towards the Uyghurs and the reaction within the local Uyghur communities; and prominent Uyghur institutions and organizations, including the diaspora living abroad, nationalist political groups operating in Xinjiang, and militant or terrorist groups.
